XPSL Bakersfield 2008
Well like I said 2008 was going to be much different for me and it all began here at the first XPSL event of the year. I actually spent very little time behind the camera and plenty of time behind the marker. Thats right I actually played, so no more "I have never played in a big tournament" talking for me anymore. I had a great time and actually found a new love for the sport and can not wait to get back on the field again (both behind the camera and behind the marker).
I did manage to take a few photos from the event in the down time. And will be back on the field full time starting at the PSP season opener in Phoenix.

Yet another great day in SoCal at Hollywood Sports. It was 70 degrees today, perfect weather for paintball. It was great seeing Mike Hinman and the guys from Aftermath as they prepare for the 2008 season and their first steps onto the field as pro paintball players.
Another team getting ready this weekend was the Hostile Kids (HK) having their first practice as a team for the year. They have made a few pick-ups in the off season with 2 players from Aftershock and Bear from Naughty by Nature.

Getting back to the field and knocking the cobwebs off the camera. Is the season going to ever start? Well I had to find a way to get my fix and with Giant Paintball opening a field up in Victorville I had a new place to shoot. It was not the largest field but it was set up great with a speedball field, rec-ball field and even an airsoft field. This field is being ran by Randy from Bring It On Paintball and is looking to be a great place to play for people up in the Victorville area. Hollywood Sports was a bit quiet this last weekend but I did manage to get some time with a few of the guys from the Hostile Kids. If you have not heard they have moved to shooting the new Mac Dev Droid and this was their first weekend out with them.
Now if it would just warm up a bit on the field! Anyway I am going to be back at Hollywood Sports on Saturday to shoot the Aftermath and HK practice. Link to Photos |

From the ashes of my stint with chrono300, I always had a selfish side to me that wanted to have a site that would change they way I shot the game of paintball. I have always felt the need to uphold the "paintball picture for players" statement that I had on the site. Doing this, I always had to take thousands of photos that I felt ended up being sub-par at best and did not show my vision of what a great paintball photo was all about.
With that said, do not expect to see hundreds of photos from an event here, but expect to see a few of the best shots, from my point of view, that I took. If you are looking to find pictures of your team, or even more specific, yourself, please save yourself time and do not look here. Come here to see the world of paintball in my eyes; it's about style, action, emotion. It's more than just being about some player posting in a bunker.
